Some couples want a wedding that looks like it belongs in a museum. Angie and Josh wanted one that looked like them - and their Zonzo Estate wedding delivered exactly that: gorgeous, a little irreverent, and completely unbothered by taking itself too seriously. As their celebrant and MC, my job was to dig out the details that actually mattered to them and build a day around it, rather than a template. Much like Alexander and Alana's wedding, the vision was simple: Josh at the front, trying to hold it together, while Angie walked down the aisle. Angie brought her two school besties and her ride-or-die BFF into the bridal party. Josh brought his bandmates and his school mates - so you can imagine the soundtrack backstage was not subtle.

Around 130 guests celebrated Angie and Josh's Zonzo Estate wedding in the Yarra Valley, with burnt orange and autumnal tones doing a lot of heavy lifting against the March light. Dave Le Page was behind the camera capturing every moody, golden-hour moment — and Zonzo Estate's vineyard backdrop did the rest of the work for free. The formal dress code gave guests full permission to dress up without anyone feeling like they'd missed the brief, which, let's be honest, is the sweet spot every wedding dress code should aim for. He's honest, loyal, endlessly accepting of people exactly as they are, and — impressively for anyone, let alone a groom mid-wedding-planning - genuinely good at taking feedback.
Josh will tell you Angie taught him more about himself than he expected. She nudged him toward a healthier lifestyle (he now does Ironman competitions, which he maybe insists is her fault) and reinforced just how much family matters. They share a music obsession that first drew Josh in, a mutual weakness for adopting "just one more" pet, and matching internal clocks that peak at 9pm sharp - full-blown ex-party-animal energy, worn proudly.
