Why I Became a Celebrant…
I found my way into weddings while working the door at a drag club in London (myself and three friends started Little Gay Brother - a queer night out in London). One night, two of my girl friends told me they were engaged (to each other) and I knew in that moment that I wanted to be a Celebrant and be able help them celebrate their love. Marriage Equality was newly in in the UK (but not yet in Australia).
I ended up moving back to Australia before they got married, but even though I didn't get to marry them, I've since married over 800 amazing humans (and counting!) - across Melbourne, Gippsland and the Yarra Valley (plus one or two in NSW and Tasmania - ya girl loves a destination wedding!! )
So whether you want a heartfelt ceremony, a laugh-out-loud MC who keeps the reception fun and free while still in control, or both, I'm all in on making your day feel like you.

A Little Bit About Me...
I am a Leo with a Libra rising and Pisces Moon (but I don’t know what this means). I’m also a Wood Rat going by Chinese Astrology. I have travelled to every continent apart from South America and Antarctica, and lived in London for almost 10 years.
My lucky number is 13, my favourite colour is pink, I don’t drink coffee but love a crispy can of Diet Coke and I froth over hot chips (there’s seriously nothing better than fried potato).
I love weight lifting, am a certified netball umpire, a former flute player and my favourite character in the MCU is Rogue (cause XMen are the best and red hair ftw). I am incredibly bad at singing, not spilling food on my top and love to get off track in a conversation.
Carrie and Janelle, married in March 2025 at Rupert on Rueprt, and we’ve been BFFs ever since. Thank you to Carlo at Lunar Red Films for the video.
