Vineyards, mountain views, a glass of something local in your hand, and a ceremony that has your guests laughing, crying and forgetting to check the time.

I’m Precious - Your Yarra Valley celebrant
I've married couples between the sculpted hedges at Coombe, in the autumn light at Zonzo Estate, among the native gardens at Inglewood and on the rolling hills of The Farm.
The Yarra Valley is one of my favourite places to say "I now pronounce you married", and after marrying 800+ humans since 2017, I know how these days run. That includes the drive your guests make from Melbourne and the golden-hour window your photographer will be desperate to catch.
Whether you're planning a 130-guest winery wedding or a weekend escape with your nearest and dearest, I'll write a ceremony that sounds unmistakably like the two of you. Then I'll deliver it with enough heart and humour to make the whole valley feel it.
Winery weddings at the Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley was made for winery weddings. Long lunches that roll into long dinners, vine rows for your portraits, and estate wine poured the second you're officially married.
My take on a winery ceremony: it should feel like the opening act of the best party you've ever thrown. I keep things warm, funny and moving, so your guests go from "I do" to their first glass of local bubbles still talking about your story.
And if you'd like someone to keep the party running after the ceremony, about half my couples ask me to stay on as their MC. You relax, I handle the timeline, the speeches and the "where's the groom's uncle?" moments.
Elopements, intimate weddings & weekend escapes
Your Yarra Valley wedding can be as big or as tiny as you like. Just the two of you and two witnesses on a hillside? Done. Twenty of your favourite people around one long table? Love it.
Plenty of my couples turn it into a full weekend: welcome drinks on Friday, the wedding on Saturday, a slow recovery brunch on Sunday. However you do it, the ceremony gets the same care. Small guest list, big feelings.
Yarra Valley venues I've married couples at
Zonzo Estate: Angie and Josh brought around 130 guests to the vines in March, with burnt orange styling and that golden autumn light Zonzo is famous for. If you're weighing up a Zonzo wedding, their day is a great place to start.

Coombe Yarra Valley: Veronica and Ryan said their vows in the Italian Garden at Coombe, the former estate of Dame Nellie Melba, with a black-tie wedding party (I matched them, obviously).

Inglewood Estate: Georgina and Bastiaan's spring wedding among native florals, with a love story that started on a semester abroad in Oslo and came full circle with a proposal in the same spot.

The Farm Yarra Valley: Sophie and Meg's cocktail wedding, complete with a live aisle song, confetti cannons and a very good boy named Scout.

Stones of the Yarra Valley: Maria and Michael's classic, stylish summer wedding, full of Irish craic.
A ceremony written about the two of you
When I planned Veronica and Ryan's ceremony, I asked Ryan to describe Veronica. He talked about her patience, her kindness, and how she'd made him a better person. Veronica told me Sundays had become her favourite day of the week, simply because they meant time with Ryan and their son.
Both of those lines went into the ceremony word for word.
That's how I work.
We sit down, I ask the questions that get to the good stuff, and I hand your story back to you on the day in words your guests will recognise as completely yours. Funny where you're funny, emotional where it matters, and never cheesy unless you ask for cheese.
About half the weddings I conduct include at least one person who identifies as LGBTQIA+, and every couple gets the same thing from me: a safe, joyful, judgement-free ceremony
How it works
Say hi.
Complete the enquiry form at the end of this page and I’ll be in touch to have a chat with you and confirm availability.
We’ll meet.
I ask the questions that get to your real story: how you met, what makes you laugh, what you want your guests to feel.
I write it, we run through it.
Your ceremony comes together around your story, and we do a run-through before the day so you know exactly what's coming.
You show up and feel everything.
I take care of the legal paperwork, keep the ceremony moving and make sure the two of you actually get to soak it all in.
Yarra Valley wedding FAQs

Most couples book 12–18 months out. Spring and autumn Saturdays at popular wineries go fast, so get in early if you've got your heart set on a date.
How far ahead should we book a Yarra Valley celebrant?
1
Most Yarra Valley venues have a wet-weather option, and I'll work with your venue so the ceremony runs smoothly either way.

Precious to confirm
What are your fees?
Absolutely. About half my couples book me for both, which means one person who knows your story inside out, from the aisle to the dance floor.
Can our dog be part of the ceremony?
If your venue allows it, I'm all for it. Scout was a highlight of Sophie and Meg's day at The Farm.
What legal paperwork do we need?
You'll need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) with me at least one month before your wedding. I'll walk you through it and take care of the legal side on the day.
