Tim & Aden's Longsong Melbourne Wedding | Where Style Meets Heart in Melbourne

Tim and Aden’s Longsong wedding in Melbourne was not your average wedding celebration - and honestly, you wouldn’t want it to be. Think bold personality, slay after slay, incredible food, a room full of their favourite people, and a ceremony that had just the right mix of laughs, tears and “this is so them” moments.

Set in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, Longsong was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that ditched tradition in all the right ways. It was stylish without trying too hard, emotional without being overdone, and full of those little moments that make you grin long after the day is over. And best of all it was the perfect back drop for Tim and Aden (with the help of Tweed Twigs!) to make just perfect for them.

It was an honour to be Tim and Aden’s Celebrant and MC.

In so many ways Tim and Aden are my perfect couple…

The brief was beautiful, stylish, thoughtful and considered. They wanted to celebrate their lives, bring in their loves, and celebrate up big time. They also happened to hire one of my all time GOAT photographers, Miranda Stokkel, and florist Tweed Twigs. And while it was my first time working at Longsong, I can’t wait to be back there soon.

Pre-ceremony Tim and Aden celebrated with their wedding party listening to great music, having a little drink and getting their portraits taken by Miranda. This was essential as their wedding turned into the party of the century mere moments after their were pronounced married. They had two of Melbournes queer scene preformers give once in a lifetime shows - with Bendy Ben preform a cake sitting and Sam T opening the dancefloor.

More weddings like this please! More queer joy, and definitely more fun for everyone.

Happy pride month x

Why You Should Get Married at Longsong.

If your dream wedding vibe is anything like “great food, great drinks, great people, and absolutely zero boring ballroom energy,” then Longsong in Melbourne is going to be right up your alley.

Tucked into the heart of the Melbourne CBD, Longsong is one of those venues that just gets it. It’s cool without trying too hard, intimate without feeling cramped, and full of personality in a way that makes your wedding feel like an experience - not an event. It’s also incredibly pro LGBTQIA+.

A Longsong wedding in Melbourne is perfect for couples who care just as much about what’s on the table as what’s happening at it. Think incredible Thai-inspired feasting menus, long communal tables, and a relaxed atmosphere where your guests actually talk, laugh, and stay present (instead of counting down to the dance floor or dessert). There’s also some intimate spaces for those that get overstimulated and need a little time out before rejoining the party…

As their Marriage Celebrant and MC I had the best time!

What they had to say

“From the moment we engaged her, and continuing now long after the big day, Precious has been the ultimate professional but also feels like a long lost friend. She was engaged, excited and supportive through every step of our wedding journey. Far over and above what we might have expected for our celebrant. Not only did she curate a ceremony that was warm, joyful and very “us”, she took all of the stress out of the day by being our amazing MC as well. We loved her! Guests loved her! No question was too tedious and, if there were hiccups on the day, we don’t know about them because Precious handled them so well!

Precious is devilishly funny and with a smile that enters the room before her, she made us so comfortable through the whole process. The ultimate hypegirl! She was good for style tips; she was great for tips on how to navigate family tensions; she was excellent for tweaking the runsheet so that the guest experience was prioritised. This lady knows what she’s doing, and does it so well! Precious even helped one of our vendors secure staging for their performance! As we said, above and beyond!

If we could do it all over again, we would pick Precious every time.
With love and admiration,
Aden + Tim”
