Jen + Nik - A fun wedding held at CERES, Brunswick.
What a delight it was to be the Celebrant for Jen and Nik’s fun wedding ceremony held at CERES in Brunswick! We created a beautiful day that reflected them and their love, and we were all the better for it. When Jen and Nik said they were looking for a fun Wedding Celebrant for their big day, I knew I wanted to be their one.

The Review
“Precious!!!! What can't we say about this absolute gem of a human. From the very first meeting we noticed that Precious had a very calming and sensitive nature, but equally quick witted and hilarious! She was the first and only celebrant we considered - and we never doubted that for a second!! (even though as Precious knows, we are very indecisive people!)
In our final pre-wedding meeting I shared with Precious how incredibly nervous and anxious I was feeling about all the attention and I was met with so much warmth and support. This was game changing! We cried and laughed and it absolutely set the tone for the next few days. Even before the big day had come we talked about how thrilled and lucky we were that we chose Precious as our celebrant.
She provided lots of resources and guidance for writing our vows and leading up to the day. She led the whole ceremony seamlessly (including wrangling, organising, making sure we were in the perfect spot so our photographer could get the best photos!) and her years of experience is SO evident. Precious was able to handle ANYTHING that came up on the day with love and laughter. Her ceremony was beyond anything we could have imagined and was truly the most special and memorable part of our day.
Look no further, book Precious!! You won't regret it.
Precious - choosing YOU was one of the BEST and easiest decisions we made!! THANK YOU xxxxx”
The Story
It was early in 2020 that they first met. Early enough that the term COVID had hit the news, but not so early that toilet paper was worth more than gold and harder to find than a Professor without their Masters. But as Jen was in the tail end of a relationship and Nik was technically her boss, nothing happened. But those 4 weeks of working together had more chemistry than Marie Curie and a Nobel prize.
So, when a few months later their friendship had blossomed and Jen had newly entered the singles market, there was an extensive back and forth before finally they shared their first kiss in Nik’s bedroom, just like teenagers.
They spent the next few months exploring their relationship through the lens of COVID. And while other people’s worlds were getting so much smaller, Nik and Jen’s were expanding. They moved in together, for a while with Nik’s brother Alex and his partner Alejandra creating a little home with them in the early lock downs, where they played a lot of boardgames together. And then into a tiny apartment in Armadale just the two of them, and it was there that Jen finished writing her PhD. It was a small apartment, but it taught them that even when there was no space between them that they could still flourish – both independently and together, both professional and personally. And it was here that they saved up all of their money to buy their 1930s Californian bungalow, with plenty of potential and room to grow. And it was on the steps of this house, the day they moved in together, that Nik asked Jen, his best friend, his confidante and his partner, to marry him.
