Pam & Jeremy: A Fun, Colourful Rooftop Wedding at Loop Rooftop, Melbourne CBD
There are weddings that feel like a performance, and then there are weddings that feel like the best night out you've ever had - just with more love, one legal document, and a killer view of the Melbourne skyline. Pam and Jeremy's wedding at Loop Rooftop in the Melbourne CBD was very much the second kind.
As a Celebrant, I get a front-row seat to a lot of love stories. But I’m so lucky because my type of couples are the ones that come along and remind you that a wedding day doesn't have to be precious to be meaningful - it just has to be true to who they are. Pam and Jeremy nailed that brief from sunrise to (very late) last drinks.
The Morning: Slow Starts and Separate Adventures
Most couples spend their wedding morning in a blur of nerves. Pam and Jeremy started theirs the way they start every day that matters to them - together. No rushing, no separate hotel rooms the night before, just a slow, easy morning waking up side by side before the whirlwind began.
Then the day split in two, Melbourne-style. Jeremy - the kind of groom who was already buzzing with party energy before 9am - headed off to get on with his day, popping into work and keeping himself busy while the clock ticked down. Meanwhile, Pam's place filled up with her people: hairdressers, makeup artists, laughter, playlists, and that particular kind of joyful chaos that only happens when a bride is getting ready surrounded by her favourite humans.
It's a lovely reminder that "getting ready" doesn't have to mean matching robes and total silence - it can mean a loud, colourful, lived-in kind of morning that actually feels like the couple who's having it.
Serving His and Hers lewks 💅🏼
As friends of both the couple I was super flattered that they asked me for advice in the outfit department. Jeremy had already ordered his suit from Reigner with personal touches woven and embroidered throughout, but his shirt was recommended by me to add a touch of soft masculinity to his already banging look. For Pam she already had the pink heels in her closet, and had had her eye on my Rosa Bloom sequin pieces for years… The gold skirt was perfect for what she was looking for, and after I saw the metallic pink corseted, almost latex like top on Instagram, I knew we’d found her wedding outfit. Add a handmade by the bride bow veil for her hair and we had found perfection.
Meeting at the Tram Stop (With Mrs White in Tow)
Here's the detail that made this wedding so them: Pam didn't arrive at a grand hotel lobby or a manicured garden to meet her groom. She walked to a Melbourne tram stop.
Jeremy was waiting there for her - along with Mrs White, a superstar photographer. In a city built on trams, laneways, and everyday magic hiding in plain sight, there's something perfect about a couple choosing a tram stop as the backdrop for their first look. It's unmistakably Melbourne, unmistakably unpretentious, and unmistakably Pam and Jeremy.
From there, the party of three headed downstairs near the venue for photos - relaxed, candid, full of real laughter rather than stiff posing. This is where you could already feel the tone for the night ahead: fun first, formality second.
Ceremony Upstairs: Golden Hour at Loop Rooftop
By 6:30pm, everyone made their way upstairs to Loop Rooftop, one of Melbourne CBD's best-kept secrets for a rooftop wedding ceremony. As the city lights started to compete with the last of the daylight, Pam and Jeremy said their vows with the kind of skyline backdrop that makes for genuinely unbeatable wedding photos - colourful sky, city buzz below, and a couple who were clearly just excited to get to the good part.
If you're planning a rooftop wedding in Melbourne CBD, Loop Rooftop is a brilliant choice for couples who want that fun, energetic, slightly urban-cool vibe rather than a traditional garden affair. It's intimate enough to feel personal, but with enough skyline drama to feel like an event.
Then the Party Actually Started
If there's one thing every guest at Pam and Jeremy's wedding will tell you, it's that Jeremy meant business when he said he wanted people to party hard. The ceremony and the sentiment were there, sure — but this was always going to be a night that ended on a dance floor, not in a quiet corner with champagne. Loop Rooftop's atmosphere, high above the CBD with the city lit up around it, turned out to be the perfect stage for exactly that kind of night.
Why This Wedding Works So Well
Pam and Jeremy's wedding is a great example of what makes a fun, colourful Melbourne wedding actually work: it wasn't about following a template, it was about building the day around who they genuinely are. A slow morning, a tram stop reunion, a rooftop ceremony over the CBD, a ceremony that chose laughter over tears, and a party that didn't hold back. Every choice reflected the couple, not a Pinterest board.
As a Melbourne Wedding Celebrant, these are my favourite days to be part of - the ones where the couple trusts their own instincts, keeps things personal, and isn't afraid to make their wedding feel like their best night, not everyone else's idea of what a wedding should be.
If you're planning your own fun, colourful wedding in Melbourne and want a celebrant who'll help you build a ceremony that actually feels like you — rooftop, tram stop, dance floor and all - I'd love to chat.

What they had to say
“Precious WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE, she held our hands and made everything easy for us and we are forever grateful! She explained to us what we needed, she highlighted what was important, she made us think about what we needed to think about and shook our worries away about what we didn’t need to worry 🥳🩷🏆💃🏻🌞🍄
She understood what our ideal ceremony was and she made it happen. It was an amazing day and we are so grateful she was by our side guiding us through. We will definitely have her again for our 10 year anniversary!
Love you Presh! 💋”
