A bride and groom at their wedding, standing close together indoors at night, with the bride smiling slightly and the groom gazing at her.
A bride with purple hair and a groom in a velvet green tuxedo leaning nose-to-nose in a forest setting, surrounded by autumn leaves, with the bride holding a bouquet of flowers.

Real weddings, real advice, and most importantly of all… real love

Megan & Josh's Rupert on Rupert Wedding | Fearless, Fun & Full of Heart

There's a particular kind of wedding that sticks with you long after the last song plays — and Megan & Josh's day at Rupert on Rupert in Collingwood was exactly that.

Loud in the best ways, unapologetically themselves, and built on ten years of genuine partnership, this was a wedding that felt like walking straight into the middle of a great love story already in progress.

Pam & Jeremy: A Fun, Colourful Rooftop Wedding at Loop Rooftop, Melbourne CBD

Most couples spend their wedding morning in a blur of nerves. Pam and Jeremy started theirs the way they start every day that matters to them — together. No rushing, no separate hotel rooms the night before, just a slow, easy morning waking up side by side before the whirlwind began.

Then the day split in two, Melbourne-style.

Erin & Matt's Panama Dining Room Wedding | Fun Meets Colourful Celebration

Like for so many other couples, marriage wasn't always part of Erin and Matt's plan. Over the years, playful jokes about weddings slowly became meaningful conversations until one day, "if" became "when."

Once they became engaged, there was one person they knew had to be there - Nonna. Setting a wedding date became less about finding the perfect day and more about ensuring the people who mattered most could witness the beginning of this next chapter. Their Panama Dining Room wedding became exactly what they had hoped for: an intimate Melbourne celebration centred on family, connection and love.

Sarah & Jean Paul: An Intimate Sunday Wedding at Recoleta

Most couples default to a Saturday without ever really asking why. Sarah and Jean Paul didn't. They chose a Sunday afternoon, and it changed the entire mood of the day. There was no rush to beat traffic to a reception, no sense of a wedding wedged between other people's plans. Guests arrived relaxed, already halfway into weekend mode, and stayed relaxed. The light through Recoleta's upstairs windows had that soft, low, end-of-weekend quality that no amount of styling can fake.

As a Celebrant and MC I've married a lot of couples that felt like they were racing the clock. This one didn't race anything.

Phuong & David's Siglo & Fitzroy Gardens Wedding, Melbourne.

It’s safe to say that Phuong and David knew exactly what they were doing when they planned their wedding. They hired vendors - inlcuding the always admired but never replicated Jackson Grant - that they instantly connected with and trusted, designed the day for maximum guest fun, and then served looks that blended fashion with fabulous comfort. No wonder their wedding was featured in Fashion Journal….

Clarissa & Alex's Glasshaus Inside & Glasshaus Brüke Wedding | From Ceremony to Celebration in Richmond

Clarissa and Alex chose to celebrate their wedding over two of Melbournes most beautiful spaces.

With their reception being held at Glasshaus Inside and their reception at Glasshaus Brûke, I was lucky enough to see their entire celebration unfold as their Celebrant and MC. With Maegan Brown there to capture all of the beauty of the day, this is a wedding I loved for so many reasons.

Alice & Pippa's Zonzo Estate Wedding | A Romantic Yarra Valley Celebration

Alice and Pip’s story starts as friends… then colleagues… then lovers… and now wives (and mums!).

They met when Pip was in London for work, before she was transferred to work from there at the same office that Alice was in. They fell in love over time, and before they knew it, they realised they’d met the big love of their life.

Nanette & Josh's Glasshaus Outside Richmond Wedding | Flowers, Tattoos & Family.

When Nanette and Josh hired me to be their Celebrant for their wedding at Glasshaus Outside I had no idea I’d be making friends for life!

Having being married legally a few years prior (which was definitely a surprise to so many people there!), Nanette and Josh wanted to have a big celebration that kept things simple. They wanted to walk down the aisle, say nice things to each other, have a ceremonial shot of vodka (an old wedding tradition) and have lots of laughs along the way.

Alana & Alexander's Elegant Black-Tie Wedding at The Trust Melbourne

Alexander and Alana have known for a long time that they were each others person, and that it was only inevitable that they would one day be here where we are today, becoming husband and wife.

As Alexander told me, it’s always been on the cards. Marriage is a chance to formalise what they already know, that they are each others end game. They’ve beta tested the relationship, they’ve gone de facto, and now it’s time to be married.

A Collingwood Children's Farm Wedding: Rachael and Nathan's Disney Inspired "I Do"

Rachael and Nathan's brief made my job genuinely easy, and - if I’m completely honesty - also made me a little emotional. Rachael was clear from the start. No picking sides. Guests sat wherever they liked, except for the first row, which meant no awkward "are you Team Bride or Team Groom" energy hovering over the aisle. It is a small detail, but it sets the tone for an entire day, and I loved that they thought about it.

Rachael walked down the aisle with her mum and dad, which is the kind of classic moment that never goes out of style, no matter how many alternative aisle entrances Pinterest tries to convince you are the future. BUT FIRST they sent down their grandmas with baskets of petals… yes, that’s right, they had some flower grannies to open the day with.
