Eleven years before I stood with them at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kat was at a music festival in Marion Bay, Tasmania, having her fortune told by a festival clairvoyant. The prediction? That Kat's soulmate was somewhere in the very same campsite. Kat's first reaction was, understandably, disbelief.

As a Marriage Celebrant, I love nothing more than helping two people tell their story in front of the people who mean the most to them. Bastiaan and Georgina's story is one of long distance love, patience, and finally landing exactly where they were meant to be, together, in a stunning venue surrounded by native gardens.
Simon and Ally: The perfect elopement at Poodle, Melbourne.
Simon was clear from the start about what he didn't want: the grandiose, over the top elements that so often come with weddings. Ally felt exactly the same. They wanted something relaxed and informal, somewhere their people could be close enough to feel like witnesses rather than an audience. Poodle gave them exactly that. An intimate setting where the focus stayed exactly where they wanted it: on each other, and on the handful of people who mean the most to them.
Sophie & Meg: A Cocktail Wedding at The Farm Yarra Valley Full of Love, Laughter and One Very Good Boy Named Scout.
Sophie and Meg's love story began the way so many modern love stories do: with a swipe and a brave little "hi!" on Tinder. Their first date saw Meg pick Sophie up in her now infamous red Honda Jazz for Mexican food, followed by a movie at the drive in.
By the end of the night, back in the driveway, Sophie leaned in for their first kiss, and neither of them looked back.

There was no rush to beat traffic to a reception, no sense of a wedding wedged between other people's plans. Guests arrived relaxed, already halfway into weekend mode, and stayed relaxed. The light through Recoleta's upstairs windows had that soft, low, end-of-weekend quality that no amount of styling can fake.
As a Celebrant and MC I've married a lot of couples that felt like they were racing the clock. This one didn't race anything.

It’s safe to say that Phuong and David knew exactly what they were doing when they planned their wedding. They hired vendors - inlcuding the always admired but never replicated Jackson Grant - that they instantly connected with and trusted, designed the day for maximum guest fun, and then served looks that blended fashion with fabulous comfort. No wonder their wedding was featured in Fashion Journal….
